What Fosfomycin Trometamol is used for


Fosfomycin Trometamol is used to treat uncomplicated urinary infections in women caused by bacteria susceptible to Fosfosmycin. 


Do not take Fosfomycin Trometamol


If you’re allergic to the active substances or any other component of this medicine.


Warnings and precautions:


Talk to your doctor about all your medical conditions before taking this medicine including:

If you have had severe diarrhea caused by antibiotic use.


Possible side effects


Stop using this product and seek immediate medical help if you develop rash; hives; itching; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; wheezing; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Very Common side effects:

 

Diarrhea

Nausea

Headache

Stomach upset

Vaginal itching and discharge

 

Other medicines and Fosfomycin Trometamol


Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking.

Fosfomycin Trometarol should not be taken with the medicine Metoclopramide.

How to take Fosfomycin Trometamol  

Do not use in children younger than 12 years of age.

Take as indicated by your doctor.

Mix the granules with 1/2 cup of water and drink it right away. Do not use hot water.

The recommended dose is one sachet of 3g orally as a single dose.


How to store Fosfomycin Trometamol


Store at room temperature 68 to 77°F (20 to 25°C) in a dry place.

Keep this medicine out of reach of children.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
