Mechanism Of Action Of Metoprolol
- Blocks beta-adrenergic stimulation, beta receptors stimulate the heart and increase its rate, force of contraction & conductivity
- Beta-blocker protects the heart from too much activity. This medicine works by affecting the body’s response to some nerve impulses, especially in the heart.
- As a result, it slows down the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body.
Therapeutic Indications Of Carelio 50 Mg Tablets
- Hypertension: High blood pressure is a common condition in which the long-term force of the blood against your artery walls is high enough that it may eventually cause health problems, such as heart disease.
- Angina pectoris.
- Cardiac arrhythmias, especially including supraventricular tachycardia, reduction of ventricular rate in atrial fibrillation, and in ventricular extrasystoles.
- Functional heart disorders with palpitations.
- Prevention of cardiac death and reinfarction after the acute phase of myocardial infarction.
