• Tizanidine is a muscle relaxant drug
• Tizanidine activates alpha 2 receptors centrally which leads to a reduction in the release of excitatory amino acids and excitatory neurotransmitter release in motor neuron

• It is used to relax stiff muscles caused by:
• Painful muscle spasms related to static and functional disorders of the spine
• Spasticity (muscle stiffness and tightness) caused by neurological problems

Method Of Administration Of Relezin 4 Mg Tablets

• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
• Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Doses may change from patient to patient based on your age, your medical condition, and whether or not you are taking other medicines, so always follow your physician's instruction
• Take a tablet with or without food but make sure that you take it the same way every time.
• Take a tablet with a full glass of water.
• Swallow the tablets whole.
• Take your doses at the same time every day.
• Recommended usual dose is 2 to 4 mg orally three times daily
• The daily dose should not exceed 36 mg.
• Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
• If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
